Boys Snow Pants

Boys snow pants are superb at protecting your son's legs while he is outside in cold weather. They are usually worn as an outer garment and as the top layer of perhaps two or three layers of clothing. While the reliable wool pants are still a great choice, some of the newer materials such as Gore-Tex, Thinsulate, Taslan and other water resistant materials allow for the wicking and evaporation of moisture away from your son's body and this is a critical element in staying warm in extreme temperatures. If your boy is going to be outside in cold, wet weather for extended periods of time we recommend that you choose a pair of snow pants made from one of the synthetic materials.

Prices range from $50 - $150 and like any type of apparel, can cost more simply by having a famous brand name affixed to it. Of course, the snow pants designed and equipped for more severe weather conditions often cost quite a bit more than those made with less insulating material, thickness and other features. You should consider what type of activities your son is going to be engaging in while outside and buy him the appropriate type of outer pants.
